Hi,  my name is Doug Kalish and I want to welcome you to STRIPER SCHOOL!  I started this web site to give people an opportunity to learn more about Striper fishing, the fastest growing fresh water sport in the country.  Getting started in this endeavor can be a daunting challenge because there just isn’t that much information out there and even fewer fishermen willing to share their secrets.  I know because I was one of the neophytes who, only after lots of research and networking, gained enough knowledge to feel comfortable with having the basic facts required to be reasonably successful.  “Reasonably successful” in Striper language means that over a period of time the average fisherman can expect to catch one Lineside for every 4 hours of fishing time but that one Ole Lineside could be as large as 50 pounds!

My objective is to add content to this web site on a timely basis that will include written subject matter and video supplements to every “lesson”.  Always keep checking this site for updated information.  If you send us your E-mail address we will notify you each time new or significant info is added to our site. I would also encourage you to E-mail or call me directly at (770) 617-0037 and contribute your knowledge so that others may share in and learn from your  experiences.  If you are in the North Georgia or Piedmont areas of South Carolina and would be willing to visit Lake Hartwell we will videotape your fishing technique or new idea and share it on our site as well.
